I've always hated seeing that in emails or pings at work. It sounds so accusative. Nonetheless, I am using it here, to introduce you all to my writing blog.
My name is Vivian and I have been an on again off again writer since I was 5 years old. My youth was spent writing unfinished chapters and unread poetry while pursuing the dream of a corporate job. I didn't realize that my passion of reading and writing could be more than just a dream until I read a book that made me think, "I could have written a better ending than that." And so began the long road to writing my first book. It took an unfinished first chapter that I returned to a year later, it took frustrating nights after my 9-5 corporate job to get some writing done instead of sitting on my bum watching TV, it took a year off of writing when life happened and I wasn't mentally available to write, and it took boosting my confidence in myself to believe that I really can do this, to wind up here -- almost complete with the first draft of my first manuscript for a novel.
I will use this space as a creative writing platform, to offer teasers of my first novel and novels to come, and to document the writing process as a first time writer. I hope this is useful for writers-to-be and entertaining for curious readers.
